Twilight, am I a fan now?

Every month I have a girls night with my friends from my old Eagle Mountain ward. They invited me to go to dinner and to Twilight. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go, because I haven't read the books and I wasn't going to be one of those "nerdy" Twilight fans. But I decided I would go just for the girls night.

This is me, Heidi, Morgan, and Katie at the Training Table before our movie. Morgan hadn't read the books either, so that made me feel a little better.

Okay so you might think I am a vampire in this picture, check out my pale skin. LOL!

Well I am not going to lie, I really liked the movie. And I just might want to read the books now:) And I can't blame all the crazy women that are obsessed with the books for having a little crush on Edward. Thanks girls for a fun night out! And thanks Brad for being such a good husband and telling me to go and being more than willing to watch the kids to let me have a break! You are the best husband and my best friend, and my "Edward" LOL.

We had my sister Jen take some family pictures for us a couple of weeks ago. We love them and think she did a great a job! We actually went out two different times and she took a lot of time with us! I am sure you can imagine how crazy it was taking pictures with an out of control 3 year old and 1 year old twins. We turned out with some good pictures so I thought I would post them for you to see!

We had a fun Halloween holiday this year! We started off going to our wards Trunk or Treat which was on Wednesday! Justice thought that was so much fun. We did the trick or treating and then went in the church for dinner and games. Jodie and Grandma Cheryl came with us and we had a fun day. Justice was excited because he got to wear his Halloween costume 3 days in a row. Thursday he wore his costume to Pre School and he thought that was so cool. And then finally on Friday we went with Papa Bob to have lunch at Grandma Cheryl's work. We met Jen P. and Ryker there also because Jen's mom works with my Mom. The food was yummy, Justice loves to eat lunch at the hospital with Grandma. Then I headed over to Greenwood Elementary to see Bryson in his Halloween Parade. That is always something I look forward to because it reminds me of when I was in elementary school. After that Brad got home from work and we made the rounds and did all the visiting. And then came back to my parents, and Jodie had planned a fun little party. The Stafford's came over also! We had pulled pork sandwiches and she made mummy dogs for the kids and some cute Frankenstein pudding. She was a regular old Martha Stewart. We watched Thriller and it was funny to watch Justices face, he was totally scared but he just kept fake laughing to try and play it off. We had a great time, especially because we had the three cutest cowboys ever!

Catching Up

So we started out the babies birthday by going on Justice's first field trip! He was so excited to go and have his brothers and Mom and Dad go also. We started out at the Fire Department and learned about fire safety, and got to see all the heavy equipment which was Justice's favorite part of course. Then we walked to the Post Office and they mailed a letter to themselves. Justice had a blast and it was fun to have our whole family there!

We went home after that and gave Talon and Cardon their new ride on toys! They loved them and didn't want to get off. Later that night everyone came over for some cake and ice cream and opened presents. They got some great stuff, thank you for all those who came and helped make it a great 1st birthday!

Justice helped pick out these awesome baseball cakes. They weren't quite sure what to do, but they played in the frosting a little, and made a big mess. It was cute!

We went to Gardner Village today with some friends to see the witches. We packed lunches and ate on a grassy area first. It was such a nice day today, I think it was 70 degrees. Justice loved looking at all the witches, but of course he was a boy and would rather throw rocks and get by the edge of the pond. Thanks girls, we had a great time hanging out today!

For Family Night tonight we decided to carve the pumpkins that Justice got with Grandma Nancy. Justice was such a good helper and loved it! Grandma Cheryl didn't make it in any of the pictures, but she was carving with us too. They turned out good and Justice was excited to get them on the porch and light the candles!

Happy Birthday Boys!

I cannot believe that my babies are one! I haven't told everyone this story, but I think back when we decided to have another baby, I had only told Brad that I think I would like to have twins. He said that he thought that it would be neat also. I never thought I really ever would, but I decided that I would pray to my Heavenly Father and let him know that we would love to bring twins into our family if he felt that we would do a good job. I kind of didn't think about it again until after we found out I was pregnant. I kept having this little feeling that I was pregnant with twins, but I thought I was just being my usual nerdy self and getting my hopes up. I only told Brad of course and we would talk about it for a few minutes and then we would go on to say how goofy we were being, like we were pregnant with twins. I think it was exactly a week before my first appt. at the OBGYN that I had a very vivid dream, and we were at the Dr. and we were having our first ultra sound, and the doctor told us we were having twins! I woke up and told Brad that morning. We both kind of thought that I was just dreaming that because I had kept talking about it. I told my mom later that day about my dream, and she just kind of laughed and we talked about something else. Well we went to our appt. the next week and it was exactly like my dream, I still remember the look on Brads face! He looked shocked, but I just laughed because deep down inside I already knew. I feel like Heavenly Father was preparing me so I wouldn't have a nervous breakdown in the office! LOL My prayers were definitely answered that day! I still remember the day my sweet boys were born, like it was yesterday! I was nervous and scared and so excited! I was surrounded by all of our loving family waiting for their arrival. Their big brother Justice was so excited and couldn't wait to see his two baby brothers! It was time to go back to the operating room, because they deliver multiples there in case of emergency c section. I started pushing and not long after I gave birth to Talon. He was born October 14th at 4:50 P.M. I didn't really get to see him before they started checking him and they then continued to break my water and Cardon's umbilical cord started coming out first which is dangerous. Everyone in there started to look nervous. They tried to use the the vacuum and that wasn't working, so they decided they needed to do a emergency c section. One of the two Dr.'s that was in there told Brad that he needed to go down to the nursery with Talon. They needed to get him hooked up to some stuff. I couldn't believe that I was going to be in there having a c section by myself. I saw Talon as they walked by and he was so cute! Brad was so torn having to leave me, but of course he wanted to go with his baby! They pretty much heaved me to the other table and it all started. Everyone was hustling around and I was terrified. They told me when Cardon was born at 5:00 P.M. and I didn't hear him crying. I kept asking how is my baby? And I could tell that something was wrong and they were trying to comfort me, but it didn't work. I asked again and again. Finally I heard my sweet Cardon, and I saw him as they rushed by me with him to go to the nursery. Little did I know during that time they had to bag him twice, because he was not breathing. They started stitching me all up, and I looked back over my shoulder to see my mom in the room. That was such a reliving sight. I needed her in there more that she will ever know! I then went back to the room where all of my stuff was. I saw my sweet husband, and precious little Justice. Brad looked so scared and was so sweet to me. We didn't really know what was going on. All Brad knew was that his boys were hooked up to all sorts of machines and didn't know what to think. They took me down to my room on the Mother Baby floor and I was aching inside, because I wanted to see and hold my babies. The doctors from the NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) kept coming in and updating us, and all I could do was cry. Later that evening I was bound and determined that I could get up into a wheel chair and go see them. The nurse advised me against it, but I am stubborn as most of you know. So I gave it my all and it was the worst pain I have ever felt, and I almost passed out! The nurse told me I needed to lay down and wait until morning. I was so, so sad. Brad and our family were all so comforting through this. I was able to go down the next morning and see them. Oh what a special moment that was. Words can't even describe the way I felt. Oh what a blessing these boys are to our family. They had to stay in the NICU for 10 days. I went over there every possible moment I could, but it was very important to spend time with Justice too. Thank you to my Mom for being able to take off work to take care of Justice, and all of the others who helped. It was so hard to leave them there, but it was for the best obviously. What a great day it was the day we finally got to take them home! They have been such great babies and a wonderful addition to our family. We enjoy watching them grow and learn new things each day. Justice adores them and is a great big brother, and they love him so much! I hope Talon and Cardon have a great first birthday and always know how much we all love them! Thank you Heavenly Father for showing me that prayers can be answered!

Ready or Not, Here they Come!

Well the boys are going to be walking in no time! Cardon has been walking a little bit for about two weeks now. But Talon would just stand there and balance for the longest time, but didn't dare to take any steps. But the last couple days they have been practicing like crazy! And all of a sudden Talon decided he could stand up in the middle of the floor. Sorry for all the funny video. I just thought you might want so see this!
(You might want to turn down the volume on the video so you don't have to hear my annoying voice:)

Oh and for all you hunters out there, I thought I would post a picture of my Dad's awesome buck he got in Nevada this last weekend! Nice one Dad!

My Sweet Nephew

My sister Jess and her husband had their baby! His name is Easton. I just want to tell them congratulations and that I am so happy for them! I wish that I could go down and see him so bad. When I had the twins Jess came right up and dropped her kids off to family and came out to my house to help me everyday! I wish so bad I could do the same! It truly breaks my heart. I was planning to go with my mom, but we both decided that since I don't have anyone to take my kids while I was there, it might be kind of chaotic and stressful after just coming home with a new baby! Jess I love you so much and hope that everything is going good. Thanks for your help with the twins and taking Justice too. Give my sweet nephew a kiss for me. I didn't realize how hard it would be for me to not be there to see you and your cute family when you welcomed Easton into the world. Just know that I am thinking about you everyday and love and miss you all very much. You are a great mom and your kids are lucky to have you and Math as parents.
